Encue Labs — Field Notes
Paint correction is one of those services where the price tells you almost everything about what you are actually getting. In Sydney, genuine machine paint correction typically runs from around $800 for a single-stage enhancement to $2,500 for a full multi-day restoration — and the gap between those numbers is not arbitrary.
What you are paying for is time and skill under proper light. A real correction is measured in hours, not minutes: each panel is assessed, refined through successive cutting and polishing stages, then inspected under LED lighting to confirm the swirls, holograms and fine scratches are actually gone — not hidden under a temporary glaze.
At Encue, our mobile paint correction packages are priced from $800 for a 1-Stage enhancement, $1,300 for a 2-Stage correction, and $2,500 for a full Restoration — completed at your home or workplace, anywhere across Sydney. Every package includes full decontamination first, because polishing over bonded contamination just grinds it into the paint.
The condition of your paint. Light wash marring is quick to refine. Years of swirl marks, etching and deeper defects need more stages, more passes, and more time under the lights.
The size and paint type of the vehicle. A large SUV in soft, sensitive paint is a very different undertaking to a small hatch in hard clear coat. Soft paints mark easily and demand a gentler, slower approach.
How far you want to go. A single-stage enhancement restores most of the gloss and clarity. A multi-stage correction pursues as close to flawless as your paint safely allows.
We would gently caution against the $200 “cut and polish special”. There is only so much clear coat on your car, and aggressive, rushed machine work removes more of it than necessary — while filler-heavy products hide the damage just long enough for the swirls to reappear a few washes later. Paying twice is the expensive way to buy a correction.
Every Encue correction follows the same discipline: panel-by-panel decontamination, staged machine correction matched to your paint, inspection under LED light, and an IPA wipe-down to strip polishing oils so nothing is hiding the true finish. Nothing rushed, nothing skipped, nothing “close enough”.
Every car wears its history differently, so we confirm the exact price up front after seeing your vehicle’s actual condition — before anything is booked. No surprises on the day.
